A Family Vehicle
Well, the baby hasn't arrived yet, but we're definitely getting ready. We've been wanting to purchase a family vehicle for a while - namely a minivan. But, with the vehicle market the way it is, we didn't think that was going to happen anytime soon. Today, we just happened to drive past a parking lot with a used 1998 Pontiac Transport for sale (like the one above). It's the exact van that my parents own, only white. So, we decided to stop and check it out. After driving it, having it checked out by Auto Zone and a mechanic, we made an offer. Our original offer was countered and we accepted! Matt will go to the Secretary of State this week and we will officially be a minivan family. It also feels good to know that we're able to pay cash for a new vehicle. Thank you Lord for providing!

I never thought I'd be a minivan sort of mom, but ... Oh how I love ours! Congrats on the new purchase.
We're in the minivan market too, but we're still in the talking phase. I love the cash philosophy! How great to not worry about adding the car payment to the bills every month!
I've been listening to Dave Ramsey a lot lately. Though I don't agree with everything he says - I totally agree on paying cash for a car. It's a big accomplishment for us to have saved enough money to get to that point. I would totally recommend it to anyone! Truth be told, we both would have liked a truck, but this seemed the logical alternative.
congrats on the new purchase and accomplishment. well done! we like your style Neals
Awesome!!! We are sort of car shopping too but both us of really hate buying cars. Maybe we'll just drive by something some day too.
