"Stop! You're really frustrating me, Annelise. Your hands are dirty and you can't stick them in the dough."
I felt the sharpness in my tone. I took my frustration out on her. Just as I was about to apologize, I looked down to see her frowny face quickly transform into a huge smile. She cocked her head, batted her eyelashes and said
"You're a really good mommy."
What?! I'm a puddle on the floor.
