Man, its the first day of the season and I just can't get enough pumpkin, cider, apples, leaves...I wish fall lasted all year.
These days we're almost done with the crazy and getting ready to hunker down until the boys arrive. As I type this, I can see my stomach changing shape with little feet and hands moving around inside. Sometimes I can't believe there are two in there. And sometimes its very evident!
Annelise is 3 1/2 going on 15. Whoever said the two's were terrible forgot to tell me about the three's. She is really going through a stage right now that seems to be more rough on her than us. Naps are needed but highly undesired and everything must be done in her timing and in her way. Sounds like a 15 year old to me! However, she is a very pleasant big sister who is just thrilled with the idea of adding two boys to our home. She likes to sneak into the nursery, lay on the car rug, and sing to herself. I think she dreams about what her brothers will look like.
Elli turns 2 next weekend...though I've been saying she's two for a while now. You do that with your subsequent children, don't you? Round up or down? Details become less important the more kids you have. She doesn't get lost in the chaos though...she's definitely in the middle of it, if not starting it! She talks a mile a minute, even if you can't understand what she says. And she really loves to eat. At least one of my kids does. We talk lots about her baby brothers and whenever she touches my belly she giggles and says "I wanna kiss it." I love these days!
So, I feel like we're just walking towards the edge of the cliff that we're all about to jump off. Yet, none of us are scared...mostly excited. 13 weeks and counting.

We're so excited for you guys!! We pray for you often and know that God will so bless you through these two little lives.
so exciting and I am sure terrifying! I really hope we will get a chance to see the boys in December when we are back in West Michigan! Love you friend!
I am super excited for you! I still can't believe you're having two little boys, either. And yes - totally with you on rounding ages after the first. With Jacob, I was all about getting it right, down to the month ("Oh Jacob? He's seventeen and a half months!" etc.). Libby just turned five and I relized that I had been thinking of her as if she was already five for several months. Enjoy the cozy fall days, Mama! I always feel nest-y during the fall anyway. I can't imagine actually nesting during the fall. I'd be an organizing crazy-lady. :)
I wish it could be fall all year too! I love sweatwhirts and jeans. I think I tried to warn you about, not the terrible twos, but the HORRIBLE THREE's. Wyatt is exactly the same way right now. Preschool has been perfect for him...his own space without brothers, although he sure misses them while he's there. By the way I'll be in Muskegeon on the 5th of October. i have more boy clothes if you want them.. they are bigger though. Call me:)
I agree- three is way worse than two!!!! But I noticed it with the girls more than the boys.
